 The
Carnival is a source of cultural
pride for the inhabitants of this small Dutch/French Caribbean
island. Only topped by the celebrations on the much larger
island of Trinidad, St. Maarten's small population produces
an amazing variety of costumes and music tunes for every new
Carnival season.
The Jump Up Casino is proud to having acquired a number
of authentic Carnival costumes, which are now on display inside
the Casino. More of these elaborate samples of textile art
will be added to the collection frequently.
